We have city water and it's safe but has a very distinct taste and chlorine odor even with our fridge carbon filter.
The RO unit came with all parts for installation and took me about 45 minutes to install. Instructions weren't the greatest as there weren't enough pictures and they didn't line up with the instructions. The Diagrams were pretty good though and as long as you understand the flow it was an easy install. Watching the installation video also helped.
Before running water through disconnect the tube right after the 3rd stage and connect one of the other longer tubes and flush out the filters. You'll see a lot of carbon and filter residue come out. Run it til it's clear and then connect the hoses back up.
I chose not to screw it to the cabinet as it was really stable just sitting on the 3 filter housings. I pushed the water jug against it to secure it further.
Pressure is really good going to the faucet. I ran a line to the fridge 20 feet away and the water pressue does drop significantly. Ice maker still works (newer samsung) but takes a while to fill a a glass of water. Going to trim all the hoses and add some air into the tank bladder to see if the pressure improves and if not will have to install a delivery/demand pump.
Didn't run any tests but it did pass the most important test, the wife test. she's very particular about any off tastes in water and so far no complaints from her.
