General Q24 Why is the 2nd and 3rd stage filter not in a clear housing, and will the storage tank rust?

The 1st stage filter includes a clear canister so that the sediment filter can be quickly and easily checked for debris build-up, making it easier to know when to change the filter. The 2nd and 3rd stage filters cannot be inspected visibly to gauge replacement timing and therefore are housed in white canisters. The storage tank will not rust; it has a food grade butyl coating inside and is intended for use with drinking water.
