iSpring WGB21B+AH12MN16X2 2-Stage Whole House Water Filtration System with 3/4 inch Push-Fit Braided Stainless Steel Hose Connectors and Ball Valve

  • [Two-Stage Water Filtration] 1st-Stage 5-micron polypropylene sediment filter (FP15B) captures dirt, sand, silt, dust, rust, and scale particles and extends the life of CTO carbon block filter. Using quality coconut shell carbon and highly compact fabrication tech, 2nd-stage CTO filter(FC15B) knocks out cloudiness as well as bad tastes and odors, removes over 90% of chlorine, and is effective on herbicides and industrial solvents.
  • [Filtration Capacity] 10"x4. 5" replaceable whole house water filters can provide up to a full year of clean water(up to 50, 000 gallons) for a family of four. 1-inch inlet and outlet ports allow fast water flow with less pressure loss. Fine PP sediment filter and quality CTO filter not only bring clean and fresh water to every faucet in your house, but also help prolong the lives of your water-using appliances and protect plumbing from sediment and scale buildup.
  • [Easy Installation and Filter Change] Comes pre-assembled onto the mounting bracket for a streamlined, DIY installation. Two 3/4" Push-Fit Braided SS Hose Connectors included. Wrench included for easy and quick filter changes. A pressure release valve allows for the release of built-up pressure when changing filters. Refer to our manual and YouTube videos to Install this point-of-entry(POE) filtration system at the main water supply to get clean water for the entire family.
  • [Peace-of-mind Customer Service] Backed by a 30-day money-back and extended manufacturer upon registration at iSpring. Lifetime tech support(678-261-7611) from Atlanta, GA USA.
  • [TDS and Filter Pack Note] Unlike an RO system, this system will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and instead keeps healthy minerals in your water. If you are interested in a filter that removes TDS, consider our iSpring Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. Value filter packs(F2WGB21B or F4WGB21B) available to meet your filter change needs.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: With this whole house system, do I still need to install a water softener if my water is very hard?
A: Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 700 PPM. Hard water can reduce the lifespan of whole house water filter cartridges. The harder the water, the greater amount of scale buildup occurs, and the sooner the filters get clogged.
This whole house water filter can remove 95% of sediment, chlorine, rust, herbicides, industrial solvents, and various other contaminants that a regular water softener can't, although it does not soften your water. It is recommended that you install this WGB32B whole house system after your water softener to achieve ideal performance if you have hard water.
To determine which product best suits your need, it is recommended that you get a professional water test done prior to purchase to identify the main issue of your source water.
NOTE: Water Softeners and whole house systems usually do not lower the TDS level of the water. An additional Reverse Osmosis system may be necessary for your drinking water. Please consult iSpring professionals prior to purchase if you are unsure of which product will meet your needs.

Q: What type of Whole House Water Filter do I need?
A: If you are on municipal water that isn't contaminated with heavy metals like iron, manganese and lead, the WGB22B or WGB21B is the system to go with. Naturally occurring metals are a commonplace in most well water sources; however, and that is where the WGB22BM or WGB22B-PB earns its keep.
If you are on well water or have heavy metals in your municipal water supply, you may want to consider the WGB22BM or WGB22B-PB over the WGB22B. For removing the common contaminants found in the majority of municipal water supplies, however, the WGB22B fits the bill.

Q: What flow rate should I look for?
A: Measured in gallons per minute (GPM), flow rate determines the amount of water available to run your shower, toilet, hot water heater, dishwasher, etc. When calculating your requirements look at the demand ratings printed on your appliances and toilet. Depending on the size of your house and family your water flow rate requirements may range from 5 to 40 GPM.

    Highlight Features

(Tested by independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI Standards: 42, 53 for drinking water treatment units, 2018)

    Product Description

    Style:Fine Sediment and Carbon

The WGB21B is a great "point of entry" filtration system and an excellent alternative to the larger WGB22B (4.5"X20") for smaller homes or where limited space may be a concern. Unlike "point of use" systems the WGB21B will filter water directly from your source. This means that water from every outlet in your home will have passed through this filter, providing up to 50,000 gallons of clean water for the entire family.

The first stage of this system houses a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter (FP15B). This filter is responsible for removing dirt, rust, and most suspended solids, to protect and extend the life of the CTO carbon block filter.

The second stage houses the 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter (FC15B). Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters, and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes over 90% of sediment and chlorine from the water, and works great on tackling herbicides and industrial chemicals.

If you are on city water, your local water utility must meet very strict Federal and State standards for purity. Almost all municipally treated water is chlorinated, and this can affect taste and create odors in the water. The WGB21B filtration system will remove these tastes and odors. If you are on a private well or spring, you should have your water tested. Etcetera.... | 5 out of 5 Stars!

I chose this filter system because my main concern with my water was chlorine and other pesticides when showering, washing hands, brushing teeth or washing cars. We have a separate under-sink 3-stage filter for drinking water that also removes heavy metals. Anyway, I was impressed by the 15 GPM rating on this item. Installation was a breeze with the included braided hoses. I used pex pipe and fittings that added another $75 in parts for my setup. After installation, I literally had no drop in water pressure! My incoming pressure usually hovers unregulated at just under 80 psi which is about the maximum you want for a residential application. Mostly it’s between 75-80 but on very rare occasions it may go up to 90 psi. According to the label on the filter canister it says it’s maximum operating pressure is 90 psi so I guess that saves me adding a regulator that would have limited me to 70 psi. I have to say I love the strong water flow that comes with 80 psi water. The largest GPM user I have is my water sprinkler, and after testing it there was no reduction in the distance it could spray. And immediately, we noticed no more smell from our faucet water. There was no aftertaste when rinsing after brushing. Also, filling the bathtub no longer smelled like we were at a pool. This item works just as it advertised. Couldn’t be happier for the price. Would recommend to everyone who doesn’t drink straight from the tap. If you plan on drinking from the tap, consider a 3-stage unit.
